Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Privacy Impact Assessment for our Federal Government client.
Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Discovery and Scoping
-
Liaise with the ATIP Office to receive direction on priority programs and activities.
-
Conduct interviews with internal stakeholders (as directed) to gather information on new or modified activities involving personal information.
-
Maintain a working inventory of activities, PIBs, PIAs, or privacy protocols.
- Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs)
-
Conduct full PIAs using the TBS-approved template for each identified activity.
-
Perform data flow mapping, risk identification, and mitigation planning.
-
Prepare PIA web summaries for publication using the standard template.
-
Submit interim drafts for ATIP review and incorporate feedback.
- Personal Information Banks (PIBs)
-
Draft new PIBs and update existing PIBs using the TBS submission form.
-
Ensure alignment between PIBs and their corresponding PIAs.
-
Prepare Info Source content for Treasury Board submission.
- Policy and Compliance Support
-
Apply the Directive on Privacy Practices and Policy on Privacy Protection to all assessments.
-
Ensure compliance with federal privacy legislation (e.g., Privacy Act, PIPEDA).
-
Provide recommendations to mitigate identified privacy risks.
- Documentation and Reporting
-
Maintain detailed records of findings, decisions, and stakeholder input.

Submit weekly progress reports to the ATIP Office.

Flag any issues that may impact the October 2025 compliance deadline.
Tools and Resources Provided

TBS templates for PIAs, PIBs, privacy checklists, and web summaries.

Access to internal documentation and systems (subject to clearance).
