We are looking for an Administrative and Accounting Assistant to perform detailed accounting and administrative assignments. The position can be based in Toronto or Montréal.

The Administrative and Accounting Assistant will work under the general supervision of the Administrative and Accounting manager located in New York.

  • ​Process and reconcile invoices and purchases.​
  • Perform necessary accounting needs including tracking financials and inventory, entering data quickly and accurately.
  • ​Compile, review accounting documents and statements, establishing and maintaining internal controls to support the financial infrastructure.​
  • Verify the accuracy of information in the system, maintaining well-organized filing and tracking systems.​
  • Communicate regularly with management, ensuring clear communication for all related accounting.​
  • Keep inventory of office supplies.​
  • Maintain and organize contract and other accounting files.​
  • Verify and process employees’ travel expenses. ​Assist with projec
  • Assist with projects as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
  • ​Maintain the fixed assets register and physical control.
  • ​Handle incoming phone calls, FedEx shipments and mail distribution

Qualifications, Skills and experience required

  • Familiar with general Accounts Payable processes.
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Good knowledge of SAP and Excel.
  • Ability to work in English and French
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of administrative and accounting experience.
  • Always maintain confidentiality of information and data.
  • You are authorized to work in Canada.
