About the role
An exciting opportunity to join the front office team at one of the busiest and best-loved hotels in London! Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, the Holiday Inn & Suites, London is recruiting for an organized, professional and outgoing individual to join us as a Front Desk Agent. Hotel Front Desk experience preferred. Some customer service experience required. Availability to work varied shifts is a must (Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings, Nights, Weekends and Holidays).
Job Duties:
- Provide exceptional customer service by going the extra mile for our guests
- Answer main phone line and transfer calls to the appropriate department
- Typical concierge duties such as giving directions
- Check guests in/out of hotel
- Convert reservations via phone and email
- Accurate billing of individual accounts
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests, with diligent follow up procedures
- Handle escalated guest issues
- Enroll new members into the IHG Reward club loyalty program
- Cash handling
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Front-facing customer service experience required
- Post secondary education in Tourism/Hospitality programs or equivalent hospitality experience an asset, but not required
- Excellent customer service skills and manner
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy
- Able to work supervised or unsupervised
- Team player
- Knowledge of Opera PMS is prefered
- Availability to work varied shifts is a must (Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings, Nights, Weekends and Holidays)
