Lead Hand - 310T Truck & Coach Technician (Afternoon Shift)
Location: 8050 Woodbine Ave, Markham, Ontario
Position Type: Permanent Full-Time (Afternoon Shift)
Reporting: Shop Foreperson
Start Date: TBD
Hours: Monday-Friday, 3:00pm – 12:00am
Hourly Wage Rate: $43.28 plus $3.00 lead hand premium per hour

Summary:
We are looking for a highly capable Lead Hand – 310T Truck & Coach Technician to join our team, based in Markham, ON
Responsibilities:
In the position of Lead Hand – 310T Truck & Coach Technician your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Supervise afternoon shift technicians and ensure that all day shift work is performed safely, cost-effectively, and in a timely manner.
- Ensure that the shop and surrounding grounds are clean and organized at all times during the shift.
- Have the ability to diagnose and rectify faults, repair waste vehicles and trucks, including hydraulics and electrical systems, as well as perform shop maintenance.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance according to established MWS policies and procedures.
- Liaise with Operations Supervisors and drivers in a professional and team-oriented manner.
- Process work orders as necessary.
Requirements:
- Successful candidates must possess and keep valid their licenses, including a valid 310T Truck & Coach Technician's License.
- Must have at least a valid 'G' Driver’s License.
- Strong technical knowledge of equipment is a must.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must have strong self-management and organizational skills.
- The ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is key, as well as working in a team environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is an asset.
- Must be available to work late when behind schedule and may be required to work weekends and holidays.
