About the Role: Ooma is hiring a senior QA Leader reporting to the VP, Web Applications, on the customer facing Web Team. This leader will continue to provide world class experiences for our customers using our Web Applications, APIs, mobile apps, and enterprise applications. You believe that automation is required for quality, high confidence deployments. Your leadership will be critical in delivering scalable, secure, and high-quality software to our customers.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead a high-performing global team of QA and automation professionals, working cross-functionally with product and engineering teams, and driving continuous improvement in testing processes, tools and methodologies.
  • Continue to evolve, develop, and execute our comprehensive QA strategy, including automation, manual testing, performance testing and release management.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, and DevOps teams to integrate quality into every phase of the development lifecycle.
  • Champion the use of automated testing frameworks and CI/CD practices to increase test coverage and deployment efficiency.
  • Define quality metrics, track KPIs, and deliver regular reporting on product quality and testing effectiveness.
  • Oversee risk analysis, defect tracking and root cause analysis to improve product stability.
  • Evaluate and implement new QA tools and technologies as needed.
  • Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Experience We’re Looking For:

  • Equivalent leadership skills and experience of 12+ years of experience in quality assurance or software engineering, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Deep knowledge and experience with ticketing applications like Jira.
  • Strong experience with top automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, Zephyr, Ruby RSpec).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and cloud platforms (AWS).
  • Deep understanding of agile development methodologies and test-driven development.
  • Demonstrated experience with AI tools and technologies, with a strong understanding of how to apply AI to streamline and enhance Quality Assurance processes.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and people management skills.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
