Summary
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic team at Obsidian Group Inc. This role is essential in managing our financial transactions and ensuring timely payments to vendors. Your contributions will support our mission of providing outstanding service to our franchisees while driving profitability.
Responsibilities
Receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling high volume of invoices. Ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices by cheque, PAP and wire. Full accounts payable cycle.
Ensuring outstanding balances are updated with credit memos and deposits.
Paying employees by receiving and verifying expense reports.
Collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate coding and classification of expenses and assets.
Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
Maintaining historical records of all invoices, reports, receipts, and cheques by saving documents properly on the network.
Assisting other departments with purchases, tracking costs and accounts for completeness and accuracy.
Ability to use enterprise-level financial record-keeping software systems, spreadsheets, and email applications.
Preparing monthly bank statements reconciliations.
Prepare other various tasks as required.
Skills:
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Ability to complete a high volume of work within deadlines.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
· Good problem-solving skills.
· Excellent knowledge of basic accounting concepts.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Experience in utilizing accounting software (SAGE) is an asset.
· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
