About the role

The Technical Information Associate provides technical assistance to the Quality Control (QC) group while taking into consideration the company’s commitment to our seven core values such as Continuous Improvement (never stop striving to improve systems and processes) and Sustainability (people, planet, and profit), in the planning and implementation of all actions related to the area of responsibility.

Permanent Full Time (40 hours) Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm In this role, you will:

  • Submit change controls in support of process or specification updates
  • Coordinate with other departments for USP Dietary Supplements Verification Program (DSVP) program responses; maintain USP-DSVP products and status
  • Evaluate supplier information and update specifications for raw material, bulk, packaging components, and finished goods
  • Understand regulatory guidance from Canadian Natural and Non-prescription Health Products Directorate (NHPD), US Federal Drug Administration (FDA), Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and other regulatory bodies
  • Create Finished Product Specifications for NHPD submission
  • Coordinate stability pulls for sampling team (i.e. compile list for completion)
  • Create and revise Standard Operating Procedures and Work Procedures
  • Perform many aspects of the job within a LIMS environment
  • File documents and maintain files of Technical Information area

You have:

  • A technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in a science discipline (Chemistry or Microbiology)
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical / nutraceutical industry (1+ years)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint & Outlook)
  • Familiarity with testing pharmacopeias related to NNHP and export industry (an asset)
  • Experience in QC/QA documentation in pharmaceutical/nutraceutical industry (an asset)
