Job Overview
Reporting to the Director of Finance & Technology (CFO), the Manager of Finance is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the day-to-day operations and activities of the City’s Finance Department. The Manager of Finance oversees the accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, utility billing, property taxes, cemetery, financial reporting and budget functions within the department.

The incumbent is responsible for protecting the confidentiality of all City matters and for exercising care, accuracy and attention to conflicting interests and objectives when preparing reports, projects, policies and plans.

Responsibilities
The Manager of Finance is responsible for planning, organizing, supervising and directing the day-to day operations of the Finance division which includes accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, utility billing, property taxes, and cemetery.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will be registered as a Chartered Professional Accountant in British Columbia with an undergraduate degree in accounting, commerce or a related discipline. The successful candidate will have 5-years progressive management training in a municipal setting, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 14 months

Pay: $115,252.00-$137,470.00 per year
