ABOUT THE JOB:

Global Banking and Advisory (GLBA) combines recognized wholesale coverage with world-class product, financing, and advisory expertise within one team, enabling us to best support our clients. Our transversal, product-neutral coverage teams span all businesses to promote the bank's products and services globally, while we also deliver exceptional capital-raising, financing, and advisory expertise.

GLBA provides issuer clients—including corporates, financial institutions, and public sector entities—with comprehensive capital-raising solutions, structured financing, and hedging services for commodities, forex, and interest rates. With a strong reputation in euro debt capital markets and numerous international accolades, we are recognized as a leader in export, project, and natural resources & energy finance. As part of the Credit Portfolio Management (CPM) team, you will play a vital role in managing and optimizing the GLBA asset portfolio.

What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating and processing amendments, waivers, and consents for assigned transactions.
  • Preparing credit applications and obtaining necessary internal approvals.
  • Conducting annual and quarterly credit reviews, including financial analysis and risk assessment.
  • Analyzing credit risks and monitoring covenant compliance.
  • Assisting Portfolio Managers with capital management tasks.
  • Preparing reports for regulators and supporting internal and external audits.
  • Collaborating with the Risq Asset Recovery group.
  • Contributing to investment banking idea generation across M&A, ECM, and Leveraged Finance.

Skills and Qualifications:

Must Haves:

  • 5+ years of credit analysis experience, particularly in the Leveraged Finance market.
  • Solid credit analysis skills with the ability to evaluate credit risk and financial conditions using both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for written and spreadsheet analysis.

Competencies:

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage deliverables to deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities with minimal notice.
  • High energy and enthusiasm, with a willingness to collaborate in a team environment.

Nice to Haves:

  • Knowledge of capital markets products and committed financing facilities.
  • Understanding of Leveraged Finance terminology and typical structures.
  • Ability to investigate and synthesize data to draw appropriate conclusions.
  • Familiarity with Société Générale’s internal systems.

Languages: French and English

Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States .
