The Farley Group has an exciting opportunity for a Project Accountant to support our growing operation. We have a proud tradition in the sales, manufacturing, installation and servicing of air-supported structures since 1970 and are committed to continuing the development of products, services and our team to best serve our customers and communities.

The Role

The Project Accountant operates out of our head office in Puslinch, ON. This person will assist our Director of Finance with the full accounting cycle and financial analysis. The successful candidate will have full cycle experience and the drive to want to learn more.

Responsibilities:

· Support foreign entity compliance with US GAAP.

· Review payment terms on contracts and ensure projects are setup in the system accordingly

· Ensure job budgets are setup correctly and updated as required in a timely manner.

· Reconcile monthly inventory and materials analysis as directed.

· Oversee the filing for the projects, electronically and on paper.

· Ensure all project costs (equipment, material, supplies, misc.) are processed.

· Oversee all invoices as issued by Accounts Receivable

· Perform project closeout functions including reconciliations, financial status reports, final invoices, and final reporting.

· Produce weekly job performance report.

· Prepare monthly WIP report.

· Review and process project related contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders and other various agreements as required.

· Assist with other areas of accounting to ensure a timely month-end closing.

· Ensure cash receipts are posted to the correct invoice.

· Responsible for being the subject matter expert on key GAAP and accounting related issues.

· Assist with timely reporting and ensure it is complete and in compliance with applicable regulations.

· Review and process general job cost invoices and subcontractor billings accurately and timely.

· Work under direct supervision, completing assigned tasks in support of less complex projects.

· Review projects for accurate revenue recognition and provide project analysis and recommendations based on findings.

· Complete other related duties and assist with special projects as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in accounting, or cost accounting.
• Experience with Jonas
• Fluent with Excel
• Comfortable collaborating with others to run month end closes and expense reports.
• A critical thinker and leader with an eye on problem solving and attention to details.
• Comfortable running variance analysis.
• CPA or in progress

Pay: $68,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
