Community Developer to join our team!

Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is seeking a committed, dedicated, and passionate individual to join our team as a Community Developer. The ideal candidate will have experience partnering with community to tackle issues related to health equity using a Social Determinants of health approach.

Who you are

You have experience working with community members for a minimum of 3 years, possess a strong knowledge of community development principles and can describe the role of community developers in addressing the social determinants of health.

You have experience working collaboratively and have strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. You have experience using Microsoft office applications. This position also requires strong writing, presentation, and facilitation skills with the ability to think innovatively and creatively.

This position is based in Miramichi with coverage in the Fredericton area. Willingness to travel regularly is required. Knowledge of the unique social and health issues experienced by minority Francophone communities is an asset.

A post secondary degree in a related field is a requirement for this position.

Written and spoken competence in English is required at an advanced level.
