Responsibilities

• Cutting, shaping, and joining metal components to create or repair structures, equipment, or parts
• Repair aircraft components in accordance with manufacturer's specifications
• Read and interpret drawings and technical data
• Perform work safely in accordance with industry and company standards
• Operate basic hand tools, powered hand tools, and equipment such as drills, saws, grinders, sheet metal brakes, shears, tube benders etc.
• Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Experience & Qualifications

• A combination of technical skills, including various welding techniques and experience with other metal working equipment and processes
• Must have TIG experience on aluminum, stainless steel, nickel and alloy steels
• Must have successfully completed at least one technical training period for this trade
• High degree of mechanical aptitude
• Proactive approach to problem solving
• Able to work independently and as a part of a team
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge and respect of shop safety
• Forklift experience an asset

Schedule: 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday-Friday
