Your Opportunity
We are seeking a Proposal Coordinator to help support our Canadian Operations with proposal development. This candidate can work from any of our operating locations within Canada but must be willing to work across all time-zones. This role will use advanced writing and editing skills to assist various proposal managers in the preparation of client-focused proposals, expressions of interest, and statements of qualifications. This position requires someone who has business development instincts, excellent written communication skills, and likes to connect with others. Your Key Responsibilities
- Use advanced writing and editing skills to assist various proposal managers in the preparation of client-focused proposals, expressions of interest, and statements of qualifications.
- Create and maintain project profiles.
- Schedule and facilitate proposal decision meetings.
- Create and maintain entries in an opportunity database.
- Review requests for proposal to ensure compliance with submission requirements and determine optimal presentation of content.
- Issue, receive, and file proposal-related communications and records.
- Create and maintain proposal templates in Microsoft Office applications.
- Format, track/control, and file various document types.
- Ensure submissions conform to company standards.
- At times, there will be overtime work to meet project deadlines.
- Provide other clerical/technical support to staff as needed.
- Serve as a point of contact for Pipeline and SMKC questions (personnel profiles, resumes, etc.).
- Must be able to successfully work both collaboratively and independently.
- Experience with MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and SharePoint.
- Must have a strong command of the nuances of the English language.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have excellent coordination and time management skills.
- Must have the ability to quickly learn new software applications to improve speed and efficiency.
- Must demonstrate a high level of attention to detail in completion of tasks and cross referencing of information in several documents and logs.
- Must demonstrate the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment and possess flexibility when juggling numerous proposals in a rapidly changing environment.
- Must be results-oriented, by focusing on outcomes and ensuring tasks, goals and input from others progresses.
- Must possess the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Education and Experience
- Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office and have excellent communication skills, including written.
- Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
- Experience in business development and the mining industry would be an asset.
