About the role

Description: The Pharmacy Technician provides technical and operational assistance to the Pharmacy Department in the preparation, checking, distribution and procurement of pharmaceuticals. The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program or recognized equivalent required Active registration with Alberta College of Pharmacists (ACP) required

Additional Required Qualifications:

As required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Hospital pharmacy experience and with sterile compounding. Use of Epic software/familiarity with Connect Care workflows. Certification in chemotherapy preparation and/or checking would be an asset.
