Join our team!! Locher Evers International (“LEI”), an EFL Group Company, industry leading and highly regarded freight forwarder, is growing rapidly! LEI has an immediate opening at our Delta Office in British Columbia for a full-time Customer Solutions Specialist, Air Freight Import.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Receive Customer or Overseas Instructions to handle Shipment

Review and process import documentation from LEI and EFL Offices and Agents

Confirm Incoterm & Acceptance of shipment with Importer of Record
-
Check E-manifest is done correctly by Origin or our Back Office Team
-
Work with Consignee’s broker to obtain Customs release
-
Coordinate the release of goods from the Airline’s Warehouse
-
Arrange Airline Transfer of Cargo and Delivery with our Trucking company
-
Send pre-alert to Customer and provide updates of their shipment
-
Track and Trace Cargo
-
E-File all documents and emails
-
Invoice client or Agent , Approve subcontractor invoices. Update Job Costing in Billing Section

Issue insurance certificate (if needed)
-
Report cargo damages. Prepare Intent to Claim to all parties involved. Prepare Formal Claim Notice (if required)

Ensure customer satisfaction by answering all inquiries within the same day
-
Prepare Airfreight Quotations
-
Follow SOP for handling instruction
-
Ensure Milestones are closed and KPI requirements are met
-
Advise Airfreight Manager of problems or irregularities
-
Follow company policies, procedures, and guidelines
-
Perform other duties, as assigned
Requirements:
· Able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
· Cargowise knowledge is preferred
· Able to handle the shipment from start to finish.
· Primary Air Freight Imports. Possible Air Export (backup)
· Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues in a timely manner
· Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
· Ability to work under pressure
· Ability to build relationships in person, via phone and by e-mail
· CIFFA Certification (preferred)
· At least 2 years Air Import and/or Air Export Experience
