Business Unit Director, Advanced Wound Care (Canada)

As the AWM Business Unit Director, you will lead the strategic direction and growth of our Advanced Wound Management business in Canada. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll shape the future of wound care, build a high-performance team, and ensure our innovative therapies reach those who need them most. What will you be doing?
- Define and execute the country strategy for revenue, expenses, and market share growth.
- Lead the development of business plans, sales targets, and marketing strategies.
- Partner with global supply chain teams to ensure timely and accurate demand planning.
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and competition to drive strategic decisions.
- Implement promotional and educational programs to support therapy adoption.
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and healthcare professionals.
- Lead all aspects of tender management, pricing strategies, and inventory optimization.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team through coaching, feedback, and strategic hiring.
- Collaborate across departments and with third-party sellers to ensure alignment and success.
- Provide regular performance analysis and contribute to strategic planning and budgeting.
What will you need to be successful?
- A university degree in Life Sciences, Biology, or Business Administration (MBA preferred).
- A minimum of 10 years of direct managerial experience in sales and marketing, ideally in the medical technology industry.
- Proven success in leading high-performance sales and marketing teams.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with CRM tools and account management strategies.
- Deep understanding of the Canadian healthcare system and value-based selling.
- Experience managing third-party sellers in both community and acute care settings.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment.
- A proactive, inclusive leadership style with a commitment to integrity and safety.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%.
