The Communications Support will play a key part in assisting the Communications Specialist to help Optima’s employees stay connected, informed, and inspired through SharePoint posts, social media updates and internal newsletters.

Responsibilities
- Create and curate engaging content for internal channels, including newsletters, announcements, and organizational updates.
- Design visually compelling graphics using Canva or similar design platforms.
- Publish content across internal and external platforms such as SharePoint and LinkedIn.
- Monitor and analyze Google reviews to identify emerging trends and actionable feedback.
- Contribute to the development of metrics and dashboards to assess communications effectiveness.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to gather impactful stories, events, and initiatives worth showcasing.
- Support a dynamic and fast-paced team by assisting with various projects and tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Currently registered as a domestic student at a recognized post-secondary institution
- Demonstrated ability to work independently by taking initiative, adapting to changing priorities, and integrating feedback in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a warm and clear writing style
- Proficiency in creating polished visual content using Canva or similar design tools
- Strong multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple projects with efficiency and organization
- Highly organized and self-motivated, with excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Meticulous attention to detail, whether editing communications or tracking performance metrics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and Project Management software
