Position Overview

The Financial Services Department – Information Technology Division requires a regular full-time Senior Business Analyst.
Responsibilities
The Senior Business Analyst will be a key resource for our projects to enhance the City’s applications and capabilities. As an innovative member of the Enterprise Platforms team, you will leverage your proven business analysis skills to elicit and define requirements, define processes, workflows, and coordinate the transition from testing to production environments, as well as provide on-going application support.
Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Platforms, you will draw on your project management expertise to liaise and collaborate with multiple business units in planning, scheduling and supporting project goals. You enjoy technology, stakeholder engagement, relationship building, and bringing business value to teams. Your strong and proven interpersonal abilities and positive energy in facilitating projects will allow you to forge collaborative working relationships and ensure success in this position.
Requirements
You will possess a diploma/degree in computer science or a related discipline, plus considerable related work experience in an integrated information technologies environment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Sound knowledge of systems and relational databases, and project management, would be an advantage. Experience with Agile methodologies, a Project Management or Business Analysis certificate, would be assets.
Compensation
$50.13 to $59.23 per hour
(Pay Grade 28 – January 2024 rates)
Hours of Work
Required hours may consist of any 7 consecutive hours between 7:00am and 11:00pm, Monday to Friday, and may also include an occasional shift on weekends or evenings. The City of North Vancouver currently works on a compressed work schedule with one scheduled day off (Monday or Friday) in approximately each three-week scheduling cycle.
