We seek an enthusiastic, driven Technical Sales Representative to join our client’s team, focusing on serving utility contractor clients. This role is about building strong relationships, delivering technical expertise, and driving sales success in a fast-paced, competitive market. You’ll work closely with key accounts, introduce innovative products and services, and ensure customer satisfaction every step of the way.

You’ll be the face of our client in your assigned territory, regularly meeting with both existing and prospective utility contractor clients. Your day-to-day will involve:

✅ Building and nurturing trusted client relationships.

✅ Discussing client needs, service concerns, and competitive offerings.

✅ Preparing compelling proposals and negotiating contracts.

✅ Providing technical product knowledge and support.

✅ Staying up to date on the latest technologies through supplier seminars and product training.

✅ Following up on quotes and ensuring deadlines are met.

✅ Gathering market feedback and helping shape strategies to stay ahead of the competition.

✅ Tracking and reporting on sales activities and account performance.

Responsibilities

✅ Promote new industrial products and services tailored to utility contractors.

✅ Offer technical support for both internal teams and external clients.

✅ Attend and provide training sessions to keep clients informed about the latest innovations.

✅ Manage quotes, pricing, and competitive schedules to close deals.

✅ Conduct follow-ups to guarantee customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.

✅ Document all sales activities and expenses effectively.

What You Bring

✅ A college diploma (community college or similar) combined with at least 3 years of related experience — ideally in the utility or industrial sector.

✅ Strong understanding of product specs, contracts, and technical materials.

✅ Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

✅ Familiarity with the competitive landscape and market trends.

✅ Strong organizational and planning abilities — you know how to set goals, build action plans, and deliver.

CET designation (Certified Engineering Technologist) is an asset.
