Duties
- Assist cooks in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas by regularly cleaning surfaces, utensils, and equipment.
- Help with the washing of dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen items to ensure a steady supply of clean tools for food preparation.
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to ensure the health and safety of all guests.
- Support the kitchen team by restocking supplies as needed and assisting with inventory management.
- Participate in maintaining a positive work environment by collaborating effectively with team members.
Skills
- Experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
- Strong cleaning skills to maintain hygiene standards in the kitchen.
- Ability to handle food safely and understand food handling regulations.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on helping others succeed in their roles.
- A passion for hospitality and providing excellent service to guests.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to cooking and kitchen operations.
