We’re looking for our next Administrator, RSP. Could It Be You? The role of the RSP Administrator, Registered Pans (Year end Tax) is responsible for Registered plan tax reporting, such as TFSAs, RRSPs, RRIFs, RESPs and FHSAs to clients, CRA and Revenu Quebec.
The RSP Administrator, Registered Pans (Year end Tax) is proficient within the team for all registered plan tax processes. They will be responsible for year end tax reporting for registered plans to clients, CRA and MRQ. They will also assist with NQI research and reporting, yearly clean up projects, and CRA/MRQ amendments filings.
This role assists with operational processes that support the Registered Plan team in ensuring all regulatory obligations continue to be met.

- Responsible for Non Qualified Investments
- Investigate and analyse securities to determine if they are Qualified investments following CRA guidelines.
- Notify clients that hold Non-Qualified Investments in their registered accounts
- Document and report Non-qualified securities to the CRA
- Participates in Year-End Tax Reporting
- Review and analyse monthly and yearly reporting to ensure year end tax slips and XMLs are created and reported correctly
- Identify and report issues to relevant parties both internally and externally for review
- Assist with Year-End QA to ensure accuracy in reporting prior to year-end
- Use CRA webform to submit amendments, cancellations and original filings of tax records
- Paper file all amendments, cancellations and originals to Revenue Quebec
- Assisting with TFSA and FHSA Rejection Projects
- Examine and communicate yearly TFSA and FHSA rejections based on lists provided by CRA to clients and internal teams
- Track and document client information updates
- Amend or cancel records with CRA using webform and XMLs
- Investigate and resolve client queries and respond accordingly while maintaining exceptional levels of client service
- Identify and suggest process improvement opportunities to enhance quality or efficiency
- Complete daily processing of tasks with a high level of accuracy
- Collaborate with other Questrade departments, CRA or other Financial institutions as required
- Perform any other duties as required and/or assigned
So are YOU our next Administrator, RSP? You are if you…
- Have a college or University graduate or equivalent is preferred (preferably in Finance, Economics, or related field)
- Have 2+ years brokerage experience, preferably in RSP administration or Registered plan tax reporting
- Have working knowledge of registered accounts such as RRSPs, RIFs, TFSA, FHSA, LIRA, LRSP, LIF, RESP, etc
- Have working knowledge of year end tax reporting to CRA and Revenue Quebec for registered plans (T4RSP, T4RIF, NR4, T4A, RL2, RL1, TFSA, T4FHSA, RL32, T550, T3GR, RRSP Contributions, NQI)
- Have knowledge of G-Suite (Documents, Sheets and Gmail)
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have strong analytical skills to manage large data
- Have strong research & problem solving skills
- Have a positive attitude and strong client orientation
- Have strong organisational and multitasking capabilities
- Have a high level of attention to detail
- Have the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
- Have the curiosity to learn and understand why and how
