We're Hiring – Storage Analyst (Cloud Data Platforms) Remote (Canada-based) | 🏛️ Government of Alberta Interviews: July 14–16 | ⏳ Initial contract with 12-month extension potential Join the Data Centre of Excellence to help implement the GoA Data Strategy by designing secure, scalable, cloud-native platforms that power data-driven innovation across Alberta.
What You’ll Do
- Lead architecture and delivery of platforms like Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, ServiceNow
- Customize ServiceNow portals, workflows, and integrations (REST/SOAP)
- Build CI/CD automation using PowerShell, Terraform, GitHub
- Optimize multi-cloud environments for cost, compliance, and performance
- Support data governance, documentation, and stakeholder engagement
Must-Have (5+ years):
- Azure cloud infrastructure deployment & management
- Scripting & automation (PowerShell, Terraform, GitHub)
- ServiceNow customization and workflow development
- Integration with REST/SOAP APIs
- Front-end development (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
Nice-to-Have
- Experience creating user training & technical documentation
- Designing intuitive, user-friendly ServiceNow portals
- Prioritizing tasks in complex, multi-team environments
- Tier 2/Tier 3 enterprise-level IT support
Work Conditions
- Remote within Canada (occasional onsite meetings in Edmonton – 3–4 times per year, travel not covered)
- Standard hours: Mon–Fri, 08:15–16:30 (Alberta Time)
- Use your own equipment (Windows/macOS with Azure Virtual Desktop compatibility)
- Mandatory onboarding training (e.g. FOIP, Security Awareness)
