This position is with one of our clients in USA , who is actively hiring candidates to expand their teams.

Role: iOS Developer - Mobile Training Platform (Document Library, Offline Mode, Notifications)

Location: ( Canada - Montreal - Hybrid)

This role involves leading the redesign of a document library, implementing offline access with caching, and developing push and SMS notification features to elevate user engagement and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Document Library Redesign:

  • Redesign the iOS document library to improve UI/UX for accessing training materials and computer-based learning content.
  • Integrate library content with existing CBT workflows and ensure compatibility with mobile learning best practices.
  • Implement modular and scalable architecture using modern iOS development frameworks.

Offline Mode Implementation:

  • Build and optimize offline functionality for mobile users using intelligent caching and synchronization strategies.
  • Enable seamless user experience during connectivity loss, with proper messaging and content access controls.
  • Validate offline performance across different environments (e.g., remote locations, in-transit scenarios).

Push & SMS Notification Features:

  • Integrate Push Notifications using Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) for real-time alerts.
  • Implement SMS messaging capabilities using secure APIs to engage users outside the app.
  • Develop user-facing settings screens to manage notification preferences and communication channels.
  • Monitor delivery success and integrate basic notification analytics.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience developing iOS apps using Swift and/or Objective-C.
  • Strong knowledge of UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data, and local caching techniques.
  • Experience with offline-first mobile design patterns and secure data handling.
  • Proficiency in implementing Push Notifications and integrating third-party SMS APIs (e.g., Twilio).
  • Experience collaborating in Agile environments with UX designers, product owners, and QA.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in mobile solutions for training, compliance, aviation, defense, or healthcare.
  • Familiarity with learning content delivery, SCORM/xAPI, or LMS integration.
  • Exposure to mobile accessibility, internationalization, and compliance requirements.
