Job Summary
Manage, plan, and direct the day-to-day operations of the Equipment Services Team (both internal and third-party service providers) nationally in a 24/7 fast-paced operational environment to ensure prompt and efficient service and Customer, Subcontractor and Internal Team satisfaction in a cost-effective manner. This includes providing timely service to all field locations nationally for Equipment Service and Repairs and managing parts inventory to fulfil this requirement and subsequent real time reporting to resolve issues collaboratively across departments.
Duties and Responsibilities
Equipment Services Department Management
Manage and monitor workloads and service performance of all Technicians, both internal and external to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage and monitor all Service Requests
- Create and manage internal and external Technician/dispatch territories and schedules
- Responsible for meeting all financial billing and invoicing deadlines.
Third Party Service Provider Relationships
- Monitor daily performance, analyze service trends, and provide feedback to manager to optimize Third-party Service Providers relationships and performance as related to daily schedules, dispatch of third-party technicians and meeting SR requests.
- Responsible for Learning & Development & Health & Safety compliancy in all United requirements, including Health & Safety requirements and Safe Operating Procedures.
Team Performance Management, Recruitment & Termination
- Manage and lead the performance management of the Equipment Services team and Third-Party Service Providers, by conducting team performance reviews.
- Develop employee’s potential for future growth within company.
- Reporting
Monitor and Report on KPI’s, create action plans on an ongoing basis with team to meet and exceed KPI’s.
- Assist in creation of reports, relevant dashboards to gain insights into department performance to facilitate better decision-making.
Budgeting, Planning, Negotiations
- Participate in costing for United RFP’s, Tenders, and all relevant customer quotes.
- Participate in providing input towards departmental budgets, forecasts, and plans.
- Participate in development of Third-Party Service Provider contracts and agreements.
Job Requirements/Expectations
- Be available to address Internal and Partner (Sub-Contractors) needs and concerns in a timely manner.
- Ability to deal with a high level of stress and promptly solve problems as they arise.
- Bilingual English and French will be an asset.
Education/Experience
- University degree or equivalent of 10 years’ experience.
- Extensive knowledge of the Janitorial industry.
- Managerial experience within a fast paced, agile operational environment.
- Up to date knowledge within technology within Janitorial industry.
