About the Opportunity
As an experienced practitioner, the Clinical Nurse Lead acts as a resource primarily to nursing staff in the delivery of care to the patients & families. This is achieved through mentoring, coaching and just in time feedback to enhance performance as well as engaging nursing staff to utilize clinical resources to support the care needs of patients and family. This position will be based at the Cole Harbour Community mental health and addiction clinic but will require travel to various sites within Central Zone. The role is supporting teams within Central Zone to ensure timely and appropriate transfers to the Community Mental health and addictions programs and the Connections teams.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Bachelor of Nursing or demonstrated equivalencies required
- Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nurses (NSCN) required
- 3 - 5 years previous Mental Health and Addictions experience required
- Knowledge and understanding of the DSM
- Advanced Clinical Judgement
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Completion of Mental health program from RNPDC would be considered an asset
- Leadership training and/or workshops would be considered an asset
- Knowledge and skills in conflict resolution
- Knowledge of adult education approaches and strategies
- Working knowledge of quality improvement processes
- Evidence of leadership development and/or experience, previous leadership experience preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in critical thinking, priority setting and organization of work including change management and continuous improvement principles.
- Computer skills including Complete Microsoft Suite (Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and computer documentation systems.

Hours
- Permanent, Full-Time; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
- Some travel required
Compensation and Benefits
$45.93 - $54.97 hourly
$56.89 with 25 years of RN experience
