About the role

Job Purpose The HELP Administrative Assistant will provide essential administrative support to the Senior Manager for the HELP Team, ensuring smooth operations from the program to the Society. This role includes supervision of HELP Team, managing and signing timesheets, processing requests, invoices, meetings and acting as the liaison between the Wîhcîhaw Maskokamik Society and HELP Team.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Knowledge of Indigenous communities and cultural sensitivity is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Digital literacy and ability to learn new software systems.
  • Experience in mobile outreach or community-based settings.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and harm reduction principles.
  • Proficiency in Cree or other Indigenous languages is an asset.

Working Conditions

This position operates under the Wîhcîhaw Maskokamik Society in the City of Edmonton. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. While adhering to the Enoch Cree Nation Human Resources Policy & Procedures Manual.
