Labada Laundry, Cleaners & Alterations is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor/Seamstress to join our Coquitlam team on a part-time basis. If you have experience in alterations and garment repairs, and you take pride in quality work and teamwork, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform clothing alterations and repairs as per customer requests (e.g., hemming, zipper replacement, tapering, patching, etc.)
• Provide professional fittings and advise clients on necessary modifications
• Accept incoming orders and garments over the front counter and phone
• Release completed orders to customers upon pick-up
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding timelines, garment care, and pricing
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Support laundry operations when alteration orders are low, including:
• Washing, drying, and folding laundry
• Prepping items for dry cleaning
• Wet cleaning garments using specialized machines
• Pressing and finishing
• Bagging and organizing completed orders

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience in tailoring, garment alterations, or seamstress work
• Ability to operate industrial sewing machines and standard tailoring tools
• Strong command of written and spoken English – required for front-counter and phone interactions
• Willingness to assist with laundry and dry cleaning tasks during slower alteration periods
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
• Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Residing in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, or Port Moody is a plus
• Weekend availability is a plus
