Toyota Tsusho Canada, Inc. (TTCI) located in Woodstock has an immediate opening for a full-time ( 12 month contract) opportunity for the position of Accounting Specialist II.
This position would be responsible for the following (non-inclusive) duties:
- Investigate and resolve issues related to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Analyze invoices from service providers and provide allocation instructions to Corporate Accounting
- Provide training and guidance to the SBU team members to improve knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Support SBU with creation and maintenance of relative SOPs and Work Instructions
- Ensure internal controls are followed and support document collection for audits
- Support management and other members with month end analysis and reporting
- Support management with annual budget creation
- Identify and explain risks related to undertaking new business transactions; analyze which set of criteria to apply and predict the impact of the financial decision made.
- Work with IT or related team members for projects that enhance the efficiency of the operational/transactional process within the department.
- Contact customers to request making payments
- Other duties as assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications:
- A college or university diploma/degree, in Business or Accounting preferred
- Minimum of one year experience working in an accounting related field
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to interact with people at various levels of the organization
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment driven by deadlines
- Strong client-focus orientation
- Working knowledge of JD Edwards system or an AS400 system an asset
- Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
- Must be able to travel for business needs if required
