Job Description:
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for accurately recording financial transactions, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will work closely with a diverse range of clients, managing multiple client files and providing them with essential financial insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple clients, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
- Data Entry: Enter financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and organization.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial documents to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage invoices, process payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide clients with insights into their financial performance.
- Tax Preparation Support: Assist clients in organizing their financial documents for tax purposes and collaborate with tax professionals to ensure accurate and timely tax filings.
- Client Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients regarding their financial records, addressing inquiries and providing insights.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant financial regulations and standards to ensure accurate and compliant recordkeeping.
- Payroll Management: Run payroll for clients, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee salaries, deductions, and benefits.
Qualifications:
- Education: A degree, certificate, or diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy and meticulous attention to detail are crucial for this role.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple client files efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Problem Solving Skills: The ability to problem solve and work independently is required.
