About the role
We are partnering with a well-established, local, family-owned residential property management company entering an exciting phase of growth and modernization. They are seeking an experienced Senior Property Accountant to join their close-knit team! In this hands-on role, you will manage full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Working closely with ownership, you will provide valuable insights and support to guide key decisions and drive the company forward. The ideal candidate is collaborative, highly organized, and thrives in a small business environment. You take pride in doing things the right way, are proactive and leadership-minded, enjoy wearing multiple hats, and adapt smoothly to shifting priorities. Main responsibilities include:
- Oversee monthly financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, including property-level analysis and cash flow projections.
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, rent collection, and recoverable expenses while supporting compliance, HST filings, and year-end preparation.
- Lead process improvements, recommend system updates, and assist with modernizing internal workflows.

Qualifications
The main qualifications for this role include:
- Post-secondary education in a related field, such as Business or Finance
- 5-10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong Excel skills
Assets:
- Property management experience
- Yardi experience
- Professional Accounting designation (CPA)
How You Will Be Rewarded:
- $75,000 - $85,000 salary range
- Benefits package
- 3 weeks’ vacation
