We are looking for a temporary part time Team Lead to work with our TeleCheck Department to help us continue in our mission to serve our community with Kindness, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork

TeleCheck offers regular pre-scheduled, social/safety check-in calls to support independent living for adults 55+ and over in Dufferin and Caledon. TeleCheck is one of the Areas of Care under Headwaters Health Care Centre and is located at 25 Centennial Road, Orangeville. TeleCheck is currently recruiting a temporary part-time Team Lead to work varying shifts, including mornings (7:30am - 1:00pm) and evenings (3:00pm to 8:00pm), Sunday through Saturday. Shifts are a minimum of 4 hours and weekly may range from 4 to 20 based on operational needs.

Position Responsibilities:

The Team Lead is primarily responsible for supporting the Manager in the execution of operational activities and coordination of volunteer activities for the TeleCheck program. Activities may include but are not limited to:

  • Work collaboratively with the Manager and staff to create seamless operation (e.g. supporting activities related to volunteer support/scheduling/member concerns, and identifying system needs)

  • Ensure call delivery is completed in an accurate and timely manner

  • Ensure next shift (a.m./p.m.) calls needs are accurate and all required documentation complete

  • Support member/volunteer concerns and relay appropriately to Staff for further follow-up when required

  • Ensure computerized database system (iCarol) is up to date at end of shift

  • Complete daily shift call report auditing

  • Ensure Volunteer Vacation requests/absences are recorded accurately on Scheduling Board and on iCarol Shift Schedule

  • Support emergency scheduling of a.m./p.m. shifts for Volunteer and Staff

  • Support all site security needs are met at beginning/end of each shift

  • Ensure all confidential materials are filed away properly and/or shredded

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in non-profit or contact centre operations (preferred)
  • Demonstrated operational strengths: attention to detail, understanding of the call delivery process, strong active-listening skills
  • Degree or diploma in social services/science, social work or related field (preferred)
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Suite or Office Productivity software
  • Experience with telephony management and contact centre software systems an asset
  • Second language considered an asset
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Screening Check
  • Acceptable performance and attendance records

The duration of this temporary position is approximately 12 months.
