Materials Cycle Counter

Job Summary

The Materials Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining accurate counts of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all materials required for production are available, tracked, and properly reconciled with the inventory management system.

Responsibility

  • Perform daily cycle counts of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, and maintain an accurate Cycle Count Schedule.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Update inventory records in the ERP system and the Master Tracker on Linus, ensuring accurate reconciliation.
  • Submit daily Inventory Adjustment Approval Reports and update records after receiving approval.
  • Support and assist with Physical Inventory planning and execution as required.
  • Prepare and maintain cycle count reports (daily, weekly, monthly) and provide ABC Inventory Analysis for management review.
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and engage plant personnel as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards (OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949).
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, electric pump cart) and perform other material handling tasks (loading, unloading, organizing).
  • Support and maintain department lean initiatives as set out in LPS system requirements.

Academic/Educational Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Required Skills/Experience

  • Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and data entry.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Forklift certification (preferred but not required).
