About the role
On behalf of our client in the food/confection industry, we are currently on the hunt for their next Key Account Manager for Ontario. Although the office is situated in Mississauga--this is a hybrid role--majority of customers being visited will be in the GTA . * If you have previous food, ideally confection, experience in a similar sales role looking to join a new organization with various brands and are growing aggressively, please read on. This is a permanent role, competitive salary + annual bonus, cell phone, laptop, car allowance, etc., + Benefits and vacation*
RESPONSIBILITIES -
- Focus on strong category management & respond in a timely manner to all opportunities to present new & existing product lines to customers
- Call on major Head Offices in the GTA
- Prepare & execute business reviews for accounts that include mid- and long-term goals for brand building including presentation of Key Account Business reviews.
- Effectively able to forecast customers period sales & outline key drivers/opportunities for profit.
- Ability to draft, execute & track customer business plans through detailed building blocks
- Management of approved product list, including additions & deletions, promotions, and EDI price file maintenance
- Follow through on Key Account Plans & objectives with reaching budgeted new sales & cost objectives. Oversee budget analyses & reporting. Measure progress toward established goals & communicate results to appropriate personnel
- Interact closely with Marketing, Sales, Finance & all other internal colleagues
- Provide industry, economic & competitive information to assist in developing sales & marketing programs, merchandising decisions, distribution strategies, & training processes.
- Prospect for new business opportunities to expand market share.
- Ensure sales & marketing plans, goals, policies are consistent with established company wide goals.
- Meet & exceed customer expectations & established deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS -
- Diploma in Sales, Business Administration or similar relevant field with 3+ years' of experience in CPG industry
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite --Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint -- is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize & meet deadlines in a fast-paced business environment
- Work well within a team environment
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task, must be well organized
- Excellent public relations & presentation skills
- Solid analytical, technical & problem-solving skills
- Good accounting & business Math skills
