Legacy Dodge in Wetaskiwin is looking for an External Service Advisor!:

The Service Advisor provides excellent customer service satisfaction and ensures that our guests feel valued and well-informed throughout their service experience. The right candidate is well versed in customer service, vehicle maintenance, repair procedures and time organization management.

The Service Advisor is responsible for coordinating appointments, repair orders, follow up calls and upsell of services. This role is responsible for ensuring time lines are met and all department targets are reached.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Greet customers professionally—both in-person and on the phone—and gather accurate vehicle information.
  • Coordinate service appointments, manage scheduling, and monitor workflow to ensure timely job completions.
  • Consult with customers and technicians to develop accurate cost/time estimates and explain services in clear, relatable terms
  • Collaborate with parts, technicians, and warranty to streamline communication and efficiency
  • Handle customer feedback professionally and strive for long-term satisfaction
  • Vehicle check in and walk-arounds
  • Upsell additional services or products based on customer needs
  • Proactively reach out to customers to generate additional service appointments to increase shop capacity and customer service.
  • Maintain, update and cashier repair orders daily.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service history
  • Ensure that the 3 C’s are captured in technicians story’s and write up
  • Ensure all work order inspections and attachments are present and meet audit requirements.
  • Perform all active delivery and quality control duties and requirements
  • Handle cash transactions and process payments for services rendered (as needed)
  • Remain continuously updated on the shop’s workload to determine the type of work the technicians can quickly accommodate.
  • Answer all incoming phone calls within three rings
  • Perform service department administrative tasks as directed by management
  • Complete daily reporting requirements
  • Adherence to dealership policy on customer vehicle care and operation
  • Keep Service Management informed of all problems and potential problems
  • Complete and maintain all OEM warranty training courses and requirements
  • Must follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Report any situation or condition that could jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its employees or its customers
  • Assist with warranty work order reconciliation and audits

Skills:

  • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive repair processes
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical individuals
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in cash handling procedures and basic math skills
  • Positive and friendly with a customer service mentality

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years relevant service advising experience

  • PBS experience an asset

  • Previous experience with Stellantis/FCA considered an asset.

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Ability to supply a satisfactory drivers abstract

  • Steel Toe/Composite Footwear is required
