Nakiska Winter Sports School Senior Sales Representative Winter 2025/26

Wage: Earn up to $23.00/hr. depending on experience

Position Overview:

  • Oversee the coordination of the multi week programs

  • Assist with staffing and scheduling

  • Responsible for care over the incoming emails for the programs

  • Handle communication with parents via phone, email and face-to-face

  • Assist with product sales as and when needed and be familiar with online inventory management

  • Organizing groups based on levels and age and updating each week

  • Provide superior guest experience and service

  • Handle all refund processes to ensure they are dealt with in a timely and accurate manner

  • Assist with conflict resolution with guests as and when needed

Key Areas of Knowledge:

  • Abide by policy and procedures as outlined in the Nakiska Resort Staff Handbook.

  • Abide by policy and procedures as outlined in the Winter Sports School Orientation Training.

  • Adhere to Nakiska Resort health and safety polices and incident /hazard reporting system.

  • Assisting guests with resort related inquiries.

  • Have knowledge of Winter Sports School products, ticketing operations and other resort facilities.

  • A basic knowledge of Canadian ski &/or snowboard instruction practices (CSIA, CASI) is preferred, or an equivalent internationally recognized certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be willing to accept all assignments that fit within your position in the Winter Sports School.

  • Consistently present and maintain a neat, clean and tidy appearance and a professional image as outlined in your department manual.

  • Provide a superior level of guest service and mountain safety to all visitors and staff.

  • Ensure all communication is professional, timely and supports the best interests of Nakiska Resort.

  • Ensure all correspondence and information given is accurate and correct.

  • Continually oversee booked programs in the near future to ensure they are correctly booked and organized

  • Strong degree of problem solving skills; solid understanding of the refund policy and procedures

Key Skills:

  • Have a strong work ethic with individual and team orientated work

  • Active listening and effective communication skills

  • Have a positive attitude, be punctual, reliable and responsible.

  • Previous experience preferred but not essential with money handling, knowledge of skiing and/or snowboarding, and guest service-related roles.

  • Computer literacy is essential, programs include office, in-house booking systems and multiple POS systems.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Previous experience with conflict resolution and supervising a small team preferred.

  • If you wish to become a certified instructor during your time with us, you will be required to present a Criminal Record Check with clearance to work with children dated within the last 12 months. Please note if you do not wish to instruct, then a Criminal Record Check is not necessary for this role.

  • This is a full-time position (5days/wk.) and you will need to be available to work weekends. For the right candidate, we can discuss flexibility to work 3-5 days per week, if you prefer this for your commitments.
