About the role

Description Senior Regulatory Analyst The Corix team has an opportunity for a Senior Regulatory Analyst . The Senior Regulatory Analyst leads the preparation of applications and filings to the applicable economic regulators in each jurisdiction in accordance with the applicable legislation, policies, rules and guidelines. This position also prepares the relevant responses to regulator information requests and develops utility arguments supporting the proposals in the applications. This position also facilitates a positive working relationship with staff at the various regulators in jurisdictions in which Corix operates.

Qualifications What You Will Do

  • Lead the preparation and submission of regulatory applications and filings, including rate changes, major capital project approvals, asset transactions, and compliance with existing directives. Ensure all submissions meet regulatory deadlines and requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional input by working closely with operations, customer care, finance, legal, tax, treasury, and external advisers to gather and analyze information for regulatory submissions and proceedings.
  • Review and support the development of financial models that incorporate historical and forecasted data to strengthen regulatory applications and filings.
  • Conduct regulatory research and provide guidance to internal teams on compliance matters, customer inquiries, and information requests from regulators.
  • Maintain up-to-date utility tariff rates, terms, and conditions, ensuring consistency with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal regulatory policies and procedures, identifying improvements and documenting best practices.
  • Attend regulatory hearings, public consultations, and stakeholder meetings as required and represent Corix’s interests in interactions with regulators and external stakeholders.
  • Support business development activities by providing regulatory expertise in feasibility studies, due diligence assessments, and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Perform additional regulatory and compliance duties as needed to support Corix’s objectives.

What You Will Bring

  • 3–4 years of experience in the utility sector, with exposure to various business functions such as regulatory, finance, accounting, customer service, operations, capital projects, communications, including participation in regulatory initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., commerce, finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or engineering).
  • A graduate degree (MBA) or professional designation such as CFA or CPA is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory environments, with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret legislation, policies, rules, and guidelines.
  • Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to distill complex issues and tailor content to diverse audiences—including regulators, internal leadership, and external stakeholders—through memos, regulatory applications, and related documents.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including experience delivering clear, persuasive presentations to varied audiences to secure feedback or approval on relevant matters.
  • Strong research, analytical, and quantitative skills, particularly in using Microsoft Excel to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Self-starter with sound judgment, capable of working independently and taking initiative when needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
