About the role

Bring your lived experience into a role that connects community-based practice with hospital-affiliated care. This position offers the opportunity to gain experience with health care standards — including documentation, confidentiality, and medication adherence protocols — while working in a setting grounded in community recovery work. You’ll gain experience across a continuum of care, a ‘wraparound support’ model that offers a broader range of involvement than is typically available in traditional peer support roles. You'll also build your capacity to support diverse and ethno-specific communities through care that reflects cultural insight, trust, and respect.

Is this you?
Are you someone who thrives in dynamic environments? On the Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) team, that means staying grounded as client needs evolve, schedules shift, and program demands require flexibility. You respond to change with focus and resilience, adjusting your approach while maintaining a high standard of professionalism. Rather than resisting shifts in direction, you adapt with purpose — supporting stability for the people around you even when things are in flux.

You understand that meaningful support requires both empathy and clear boundaries. In this role, that means practicing purposeful self-disclosure, keeping internal team matters strictly within the team, and always safeguarding the confidentiality of team communications. You remain grounded in emotionally complex interactions, offering steady, compassionate support while maintaining a trusted and professional presence.

If you are looking to develop your reliability and accountability in a clinical setting, this role provides structured, real-world experience to support that growth. You’ll gain hands-on experience with electronic health records and documentation protocols that meet hospital regulatory standards — helping you build accuracy, consistency, and confidence in how information is managed. You’ll also be trained in the use of formal risk protocols, building a strong foundation in clinical accountability and situational awareness. These skills are essential for future roles in mental health or emergency response systems.
