We are a busy very successful detail focused investment and financial planning practice and we are seeking a financial services administrative assistant. You will be part of a small team with high standards that provides outstanding operations and administrative support to the Senior Financial Advisor and legendary service to our clients. We have high expectations for ourselves and we "do the common things uncommonly well."
Responsibilities and Duties
Duties include preparing investment files; completing investment, mutual fund, and insurance paperwork; verifying investment trades; posting data; data entry; delivering cheques to the bank; updating our client contact system; transcribing notes and providing continuous operational assistance and support to the Senior Financial Advisor and his clients.
Skills and Qualifications
Methodical, very high attention to detail and excellent follow through is required and is key to success. Must be very organized and focused, work well with numbers, and have a strong desire to learn. A polished image will be an advantage in this professional fast-paced environment.
There will be a details-focused assessment sent to selected candidates. If you are not strong on details then unfortunately this position is not the best fit for you.
Requirements
University degree, college diploma or similar, is desired. Financial services experience and mutual fund knowledge is beneficial. Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC), Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Business and similar courses are very beneficial.
Several years of work experience is preferred. We are willing to train someone who is short on financial experience but who has the drive to complete courses and who has the right attitude.
The ideal candidate will want to and need to become securities licensed. Several courses are required for licensing.
Compensation
Good competitive compensation package, including benefits plan, profit sharing and a healthy vacation allotment.
