We are a leading electrical contractor serving the industrial sector in the Greater Vancouver Area, proudly signatory to IBEW Local 213. Our work spans across a variety of heavy industrial projects including material handling systems, processing facilities, utilities, and infrastructure upgrades. With a strong reputation for safety, quality, and technical excellence, we are growing our team and looking for a Project Coordinator to support the delivery of complex electrical construction projects.
Responsibilities
As a Project Coordinator, you will work closely with the Project Manager and electrical Foreman to help plan, organize, and track project activities from mobilization through close-out. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and interested in growing their career in industrial electrical construction.
- Assist in planning, scheduling, procurement, and document control for electrical construction projects.
- Support coordination between electrical crews (unionized under IBEW 213), subcontractors, vendors, and engineering teams.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress tracking logs.
- Support the project manager with cost tracking, forecasting, and invoice processing.
- Attend site meetings and document action items, project issues, and resolutions.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure alignment with schedule, scope, and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in construction project coordination or project administration (electrical or industrial preferred).
- Previous experience as an Electrician is an asset.
- Familiarity with the electrical construction industry, unionized labour environments, and industrial project workflows.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation for site visits
Preferred Attributes
- Experience supporting IBEW-signatory projects or working in a unionized construction environment.
- Understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code and industrial site safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Eagerness to learn and grow into a more senior project management role over time
