About the role

Mobile Technician (Lower Mainland) Marcon’s Income Producing Property (IPP) team is hiring a dependable, skilled, and proactive Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and operational efficiency of our growing portfolio. We’re currently looking to fill:

  • Provides maintenance support across a variety of residential and commercial IPP assets throughout the Lower Mainland.
  • Requires regular travel between properties based on a set weekly schedule.
  • Participates in an on-call rotation for emergency response, which may be daily, weekly, or monthly depending on need.

About The Role

  • Conduct minor plumbing and electrical repairs, drywall patching, light carpentry, cabinetry repair, fixture replacements, and painting.
  • Perform janitorial duties in lobbies, washrooms, amenity spaces, garbage/recycling rooms, and parkades.
  • Complete weekly property inspections (interior/exterior); identify and report deficiencies.
  • Maintain landscaping: mowing, planting, trimming, seasonal snow removal, and salting.
  • Perform pressure washing, window cleaning, minor graffiti removal, and general exterior upkeep.
  • Respond to and complete in-suite and common area service requests, including turnover repairs.
  • Assist with post-construction deficiency walkthroughs and minor repairs for new developments.
  • Coordinate access and site visits for contractors and vendors in absence of Property Manager.
  • Provide support with moving assistance and minor junk removal.
  • Participate in annual Capital Expenditure (CapEx) planning and manage assigned CapEx projects.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections on mechanical/electrical systems (e.g., boilers, HVAC, DHW, pumps).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in mechanical, electrical, and storage rooms.
  • Use Yardi Maintenance IQ to manage service requests and document inspections and repairs.
  • Follow all health and safety standards and relevant legislative requirements (WHMIS, AODA, PIPEDA, Human Rights, etc.).
  • Attend weekly coordination meetings with the Property Manager.
  • Other duties as required within the scope of the role.

About You

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in facility/building maintenance.
  • Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License is mandatory (especially for mobile role).
  • High school diploma required; trade certifications or Red Seal are strong assets.
  • Skilled in plumbing, basic electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and painting.
  • Experience with HVAC, mechanical systems, and preventative maintenance.
  • Able to lift up to 20kg, use ladders, and safely handle tools and equipment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, basic computer use; experience with Yardi and Dropbox an asset.

The compensation range for this role is $60,000 - $75,000 annually, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
