About the role
Job Description As a Financial Analyst , you will play a key role in our performance analysis, financial modelling, and budgeting process. You will be responsible for [VW1] transforming data into strategic insights that support decision-making across the Davie Group. You will provide support to the Finance Manager and the Chief Financial Officer on the financial aspects of ongoing corporate projects.
More Specifically, You Will
- Review and validate monthly financial reporting packages prepared by business unit teams to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with budgets andforecasts.
- Assist in the development of weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts (e.g., cash flow, P&L).
- Build and maintain dynamic financial models to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide support during corporate acquisitions.
- Coordinate and support annual audits across the Group.
- Coordinate and support the annual budgeting process, including timelines, templates, and stakeholder communication across the Group.
- Work with the Finance Manager on financial analyses and special projects.
- Design and maintain internal controls in collaboration with the Financial Manager.
- Assist in the preparation of statutory and consolidated financial statements.
- Use Excel, Power Query, and Power BI to streamline and automate recurring financial reporting tasks.
Qualifications
- Hold a CPA accounting designation.
- Have three to five years of relevant professional experience.
- Excellent communication skills in English and French, both written and spoken.
- Maintain a positive attitude, and be proactive, resourceful, and detail oriented.
- Strong proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with IFRS standards is an asset.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with the ability to resolve conflicts.
- Must undergo and successfully complete the background check and obtain the security clearance required under the federal government’s Contract Security Program.
