Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Program Coordinator to support the delivery of our programs and operations. This role is ideal for someone passionate about equity, inclusion, and immigrant empowerment, with strong organizational and research skills.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for all project direction, planning, completion, and financial outcome. In order to succeed in this position, the candidate must be organized and have excellent time management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Immigrant Community Knowledge
- Conduct research on immigrant communities’ needs, employment trends, and settlement challenges
- Compile data and prepare reports to support programming and funding proposals
Administrative & Digital Support
- Maintain organized digital filing systems (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.)
- Support data entry, file management, and contact database updates
Event Planning & Program Logistics
- Assist in the planning and coordination of community events, webinars, and workshops
- Communicate with vendors, speakers, and participants; manage event logistics and materials
Career Program Support
- Coordinate scheduling and communications for mentorship and career support programs
- Assist with outreach to volunteers, professionals, and immigrant participants
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social services, community development, administration, or a related field
- 1 - 2 years' of relevant experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and digital communication tools (Zoom, Mailchimp, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- A strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and newcomer empowerment
- Familiarity with CRM systems, Canva, or basic website updates
