Primary Responsibilities In the role of the Water Business Group Director - Canada, we'll count on you to:
- Develop and lead business group initiatives for Canada, share effective implementation of business group initiatives.
- Develop, implement and maintain an effective regional business group program, including business development strategies, new business prospects, technical services, quality, production methods and standards, all within established goals and objectives of the company and business group.
- Work cooperatively with other Regional Business Group Directors, Regional Operations Directors, Area Managers and Market Sector Directors to drive Business Group strategies and initiatives in the Regions.
- Mentor key personnel.
- Assist in the identification and prioritization of strategic hires and in the recruiting of candidates.
- Actively participate in water industry associations and organizations.
- Add strong business skill set as the Business Group point of interface with Operations.
- Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field. MS preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years experience in related field.
- Registered Engineer.
- Demonstrated experience with leading diverse teams.
- Ability to work cooperatively with regional managers, technical directors and client development teams.
- Position requires that applicant resides within the Greater Toronto Area or willing to relocate.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.
Preferred Qualifications
- 15+ years experience in related field.
- Proven relationships within major water organizations within Canada.
- Applicable registrations and association activities.
- Frequent travel is required (25%+).
- Committed to quality improvement and HDR values.
- Strong operations and client development skills.
- Experience with alternative delivery contracting and risk management.
