3iQ is looking for a Senior Fund Accountant who will be a major contributor to the finance team and organization. Responsible for the daily NAV tracking, reconciliations and monitoring of Funds, this person will be a key part of the financial operations. The team collaboration skills being brought to this role will assist with team building not only in Finance but also in Operations & Trading and throughout the organization. This exciting opportunity is ideal for an experienced individual who wants to grow with a young organization.

Duties

• Daily NAV reconciliation – administrator reporting to service providers platforms
• Daily cash reconciliations – administrator to bank/trust accounts
• Daily update of NAV tracking spreadsheets
• Daily update of variable expense calculations for the funds
• Daily 3-way reconciliations of trust bank accounts to transfer agent and administrator reporting
• Monitor fund’s fixed expense accruals and track to invoices received for any accrual adjustments needed
• Fund performance tracking for compliance, marketing and financial reporting purposes
• Retrieve, reconcile and archive service provider statements for audit purposes
• Perform general bookkeeping entries in Quickbooks
• Participate in new system implementation and testing
• Assist with weekly accounts payable process
• Assist with corporate and fund year-end audits, preparation of supporting schedules, reconciling account transactions to year end balances etc.
• Assist with month-end reconciliations and analysis of key account balances
• Ad hoc reporting duties as requested

Experience and Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in Fund accounting preferably within the investment fund industry
• Undergraduate degree with a focus on Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting or commerce is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience dealing with audits
• Experience with Series Accounting and exposure to US GAAP and IFRS
• Exceptional ability to be highly collaborative and flexible in a very dynamic environment
• Confident in ensuring all tasks are understood and not afraid to ask questions
• Self-Starter and capable of taking ownership
