Position Description:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Automation Developer skilled in both mobile (Appium) and web (Selenium) test automation using Java. You will be part of a growing QA automation team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks and writing automation scripts for both native mobile apps (iOS/Android) and responsive web applications.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks for both mobile (iOS & Android) and web platforms using Appium and Selenium with Java.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, and UX teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Develop and execute automation scripts for functional, regression, and smoke testing.
• Enhance test coverage by automating critical workflows across platforms.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide accurate testing estimates and status reports.
• Maintain automation stability with CI/CD integration using Jenkins or similar tools.
• Write reusable utilities, manage locators, and design robust test strategies.
• Capture logs, screenshots, and generate detailed test execution reports (e.g., using ExtentReports).
• Perform root cause analysis and provide quick feedback to dev teams on failures or bugs.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to best practices in automation and quality assurance.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in automating mobile and web applications using Appium and Selenium with Java.

• Strong knowledge of Java programming, OOPs, and TestNG or JUnit.

• Familiarity with build and CI/CD tools like Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Git, etc.

• Experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.

• Experience with automation for both Android and iOS platforms.

• Knowledge of defect tracking tools like JIRA, TFS, or similar.

• Good understanding of REST APIs and testing backend services.

• Ability to analyze logs, identify issues, and debug test scripts efficiently.

• Solid understanding of Agile methodology and QA processes.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience managing Jenkins pipelines, Docker, or cloud-based device farms (AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack).

• Expertise in frameworks/tools: Appium, Selenium WebDriver, Node.js, Shell scripting, Curl, Postman.

• Familiarity with test reporting tools (ExtentReports, Allure, etc.).

• Experience working in transformation or modernization QA projects.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams and directly with clients/customers.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

• Knowledge of DTM or other test management tools.
