About the role

Overview
The Youth Coordinator plays a vital role in developing and implementing programs that engage, educate, and empower young individuals. This position requires a dynamic individual who is passionate about youth development and possesses strong leadership skills. The Youth Coordinator will oversee various projects, recruit and supervise volunteers, and work collaboratively with community partners to create impactful experiences for youth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage youth programs that align with organizational goals and community needs.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to support program initiatives.
  • Conduct public speaking engagements to promote youth programs and engage the community.
  • Educate youth on various topics through workshops, seminars, and interactive activities.
  • Market programs effectively to ensure high participation rates among youth.
  • Collect and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and make informed improvements.
  • Collaborate with other departments and community organizations to enhance program offerings.
  • Maintain administrative records related to program activities, participant engagement, and volunteer contributions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong recruiting skills to attract passionate volunteers who can contribute to youth programs.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience, ensuring a positive environment for both staff and participants.
  • Excellent public speaking skills for effective communication with diverse audiences.
  • Strong administrative capabilities for managing program logistics and documentation.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire youth and foster a sense of community among participants.
  • Ability to educate young individuals on relevant topics in an engaging manner.
  • Proficiency in marketing strategies to promote programs effectively within the community.
  • Experience in data collection methods for evaluating program success is a plus.
