Maplesoft Group is currently seeking an Application Architect for our Federal Government client.

Tasks and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Scope: Our client requires two (2) Application/Software Architect resources to support the assessment, planning, and modernization of the front-end architecture for internal applications as part of the Cloud Modernization project. The resources will focus on migrating and modernizing user interfaces using ReactJS and the Fluent UI framework and will work in coordination with the development team to ensure alignment with enterprise design standards and application consistency. The Application/Software Architect will be a member of the Cloud Modernization project team and will report to the IT Project Manager.

The selected resources will work with the following technologies:

• Microsoft .Net 8

• Entity Framework Core

• Microsoft Azure Cloud Services (Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Application Insights)

• Microsoft Azure SQL and Microsoft Azure SQL Managed Instance

• ReactJS

• REST API’s

• Microsoft Fluent UI

• Microsoft Azure DevOps Git

• Microsoft Azure DevOps Pipelines

Deliverables: The Application/Software Architect resource will assist the development team with the assessment, planning, design, and modernization of the front-end architecture for internal applications. The resource will leverage best practices in ReactJS and the Fluent UI framework to support the transformation of legacy interfaces, ensure consistency across applications, and enhance user experience. The resource must perform, without being limited to, the following tasks to support the Cloud Modernization of internal applications and associated services:

• Assess the current front-end architecture.

• Use the architecture developed for the Safety Analysis application as a foundational design reference for other applications.

• Create a modernization plan for transitioning front-end components and interfaces to the ReactJS framework.

• Develop a common look and feel across all internal applications, guided by the Safety Analysis application’s design principles.

• Lead the continuous development of a shareable, reusable library of in-house components in ReactJS, using the Fluent UI framework to ensure visual and functional consistency.

• Lead the development and implementation of a feature-based migration strategy for moving existing applications to the ReactJS framework.

• Provide all the necessary knowledge transfer with the development team, including detailed guidance on environment setup (development, testing, stage and production), application configuration, and component usage.
