About the role
AltaSteel is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Sales Coordinator. In this role you are responsible for inside sales communications with customers, accurate and timely order entry, and reporting. This role coordinates with Sales, Production, and Shipping to ensure accurate and timely forecasting, reporting and communications.
Responsibilities
- Respond in a timely manner to incoming sales emails.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Enter orders as required.
- Coordinate between sales, and scalehouse to ensure we are meeting the monthly shipping tons.
- Create and distribute sales & scrap related reports under the direction of Sales.
- Communicate and escalate roadblocks to ensure issues are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to address any issues affecting sales.
- Follow up on sales forecasts with sales team and customers.
- Enter Scrap tickets & reconcile.
- Assist the Sales Team Members with administrative tasks, such as preparing order documentation, updating customer information, and coordinating with production for delivery timelines.
Qualifications and Skills
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field would be preferred.
- 2 + years of experience in a sales support coordination role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Suite and CRM systems.
- Experience with ERP systems or order processing platforms is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer service-oriented with a professional and friendly demeanor.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Details
- Full-time, permanent opportunity
- Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm.
- Full-time in-office, in Edmonton Alberta (no remote or hybrid).
- Pre-employment alcohol and drug test required with zero tolerance policy.
- Background check required.
