Position Description

Reporting to the Finance Manager, Consumer Group, this dynamic individual will be responsible for all financial aspects related to budgeting/forecasting and reporting for their assigned business unit. The Senior Financial Analyst role will be required to interact with and build strong relationships with all areas and levels within the Consumer organization including Sales, Marketing & Operations.

What You Will Do

In this position, the Senior Financial Analyst will:

  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing teams to ensure initiatives are properly accounted for and any variances are addressed
  • Primary contact with the US Finance communicating financial results and weekly sales forecast for assigned business unit
  • Drive analysis around volume, price, mix, customer promotions and customer P&Ls including monthly report out to Sales and Marketing team
  • Preparation and entry of journal entries
  • Ad hoc reporting as required
  • Collaborative approach with team first attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and influencing skills
  • Strong Analytical and Problem Solving skills
  • Sense of urgency and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrates a strong personal capacity for learning

What You Will Bring

  • Post-Secondary education in Accounting or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in Accounting/Finance or related field preferably in Consumer Goods
  • CPA certification (or near completion)
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (advanced functions ie. Pivot Tables)
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Oracle, SAP and Business Warehouse is an asset
  • Minimal travel required
