Fowler Construction is actively seeking reliable and hardworking Construction Labourers to assist with a wide range of on-site tasks. Responsibilities include preparing and cleaning work areas, removing debris and waste materials, shoveling and raking, performing traffic control and flagging, and supporting excavation and construction activities. This is a hands-on role vital to the smooth and safe progress of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Clean and perform preparation of worksites to eliminate possible hazards.
- Operate equipment as required after receiving training on safe operation of any equipment used.
- Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
- Clean and maintain any equipment or tools you may use.
- Operate, read, and maintain air monitoring and other sampling devices when working in confined spaces and/or hazardous environments (training will be provided).
- Receive mandatory traffic control training, control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones as required
- Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, compact and level earth to grade specifications, using appropriate tools.
- Shovel and rake as required.
- Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures
- Under supervision, install sewer, water, and storm drainpipes, using pipe-laying machinery and laser guidance equipment.
- Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.
- Assist co-workers and assist at other job sites when required.
- Perform demolition work and salvage useful materials if possible.
- Regularly attend safety tailgate meetings.
- All other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Experience working in construction is considered an asset.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work with a team.
- Must be able to stand, lift 50 lbs., carry, bend, and reach.
- Punctual, reliable, and available to work 50-60 hours per week.
- Must maintain a valid Driver’s License.
